We generally vaccinate for Strangles for the following reasons:

• There has been a local outbreak of strangles within the previous 3 months.

• The horse is being transported from your facility to a location where there has been a local outbreak of strangles within the previous 3 months.

• Another horse is being transferred from a location where there has been a local outbreak of strangles within the previous 3 months to your facility.

• The barn owner specifically requests strangles vaccination.
